Thanks to everybody’s support, this year marks the seventh Power Design Project. We acknowledge that it is all due to everyone’s expectations regarding both design and Seiko that we have been able to continue with this project, and we would like to extend our sincere appreciation for this.

Since starting up this project in 2002, we have faced such intrinsic themes as “What is time?”, “What is a watch?” and “What is Seiko?”, and through our workshops have continued coming up with an abundance of concept models. The voices of customers that have come to us through our exhibitions and the commercial realization of project models have served to encourage us anew in our endeavors.

The themes every year may be different, but there is no change in our position regarding the ideals we pursue through design. Times change; cities change; life changes; but so long as there are people, we intend always offering up time that everyone is sure to love.
