The Arabic numerals are all printed in the Helvetica font. To heighten its legibility while maintaining the beauty of this font that is typically used throughout the world, subtle adjustments were made with the font laid out in a circular manner.
With the top of the number 1, for example, the point was reduced so as to make it visually more pleasing; the spaces contained within the lines of such numbers as 2 and 4 were expanded to give them some space. This gauge-like dial, so perfectly ordinary and easy to read, is appropriate for this function. |
